First Project: The Sketchbook, reviewing elements and principles of art and design.
Our First Project together: An "ocarina" ceramic whistle inspired by animals
Paper mache teacup anyone? photo:ann wood This is from UltimatePaperMache.com and the site offers various tutorials on paper mache techniques, including lots on different animals (hint hint) I love this baby sperm whale!
Get inspired Janet Echelman found her true voice as an artist when her paints went missing -- which forced her to look to an unorthodox new art material. Now she makes billowing, flowing, building-sized sculpture with a surprisingly geeky edge. A transporting 10 minutes of pure creativity.
Still excited to see how this "wall of shame" will turn out. But as I begin planning for our last project before the free-choice final, I would like to ask you guys what you would like to do!! Leave your ideas as comments :) p.s. for the free-choice final, you can revisit any technique you have learned all year! p.p.s. bring me a piglet like this guy and you'll probably get an A in the class...;D
The ocarina project was fun. We used our creativity to design the whisle ocarina to capture the animal we wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteThe ocarina project was definitely one of the cutest projects I have done in my life. I still have mine at home.
